Table 1 Effect of pre-sowing treatments on seed germination of L. ovallei after 100 days ofo incubation. Seeds were subjected to the following treatments: treatment #1 = sulphuric acid (H2SO4); treatment #2 = sulphuric acid and imbibing in aerated water (Ox) for 48 h; treatment #3 = gibberellic acid (GA3) and soaking in aerated water for 48 h; and treatment #4 = soaking in water for 48 h and clipping (cut). Germination (O.R.) is the quotient of the odds of germination in each group compared with the control group. P values correspond to likelihood ratio tests (n = 10)
